Strep Scare

It's not strep. Kent has allergies, and something has flared up and got his attention. He has a runny nose and some of the drip has irritated his throat.  He ran to the doctor after lunch and got the all clear. Whew! He actually saw the same physicians assistant that I saw early June. She took my symptoms seriously and did a full work up on me with blood work. Good thing. So, I trust her diagnosis that Kent is suffering from allergies and nothing serious.

That was our excitement for the day.

Other newsworthy events: Happy Birthday to my brother (and stem cell donor) Ed!  Also sharing this birthday is my college buddy, Chris - https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=happy+birthday+in+french+bon+anniversaire&fr=ipad&pcarrier=AT%26T&pmcc=310&pmnc=410

Although it was their birthday, we received a nice gift.  Our neighbor DW mowed our grass.  Very much appreciated, especially by Annie and Dexter.  They were getting covered by some sticky grass seeds. Ick! Toot toot to Linda for mentioning it!

I got a couple of projects done. Here is the recovered bench. Now the dogs can easily get on and off the bed without me worrying about them getting hurt.  Yes... I had a no dogs on the bed rule.  All it took was one stay away from home and Kent changed my rule. Well, if you can't beat them, join them.

Health wise it is a good day. I had plenty of energy, obviously. I look forward to another good day tomorrow.
