Very Productive

It was a very productive day. Clinic was the shortest ever. Literally 15 minutes. All they did was draw some blood and change the bandage. But at least I got to spend some time with Dave.

This is so gross.  Luckily I have some great scarves!

I got a little more info on where my tube goes. From the ports that dangle out it goes under the ski , up over the clavicle, and down inside the chest into a vein near the heart. Gross.

I am still a little sore, especially when she was pressing on the new bandage. But not unmanageable.

Oh. I saw Walter at clinic today he is one of the favorite techs at Atlanta Blood Services. He is very good at finding small veins, and is attentive to you while donating. He was helping out on the clinic side, but wil still work at Blood Services. Phew!  Don't forget when you make your appointment you can request Walter. (I don't know if he works this Tuesday, though, for Glenda, Shannon, and Janna.) I wish he would have been there for you, Beverly, this last time. Thanks for trying!

Yesterday Mary and Mark donated. Of course neither of them told me. Had to bribe Mary with a promise of wine. Thank you Mary and Mark (new record! 3 bags!)

Perfect garden flag, Mom. thanks!

I also had a nice chat with the family. My sister is on the last bits of a cold and didn't want to infect me.

Silly!

Although today is Nick's birthday, I got a gift.  Thanks, Kim!

That's it for now. Tomorrow is my last day off. I intend to enjoy every minute of it.
