I had to go to physical therapy today. Kicking and screaming. I get it: I will have down days and it's important to exercise and keep moving. Why does the appt take 2.5 hours to establish that??
But, I was nice and a good patient all the while envious of Bev, Mary and Darlene who were shopping (for me) while I was at my meeting. Thanks for the shopping and the for the ride!
Mom and Dad drove down and stayed on the Northside last night. Ed and Marie flew down and stayed up there too. Today is a was series of meetings and testing. Then Ed and Marie left for home, and Mom and Dad stayed for dinner.
It's a dining room again!
Then we will be in my meetings all day tomorrow.
What shall we title this photo? "Ooo shiny!" "Folically challenged". How about "Family" ? That'll do.
3 more days of freedom, then on Friday I get my central port. No more quick easy showers. Now I will be paranoid about getting the line in my chest wet. Can't do that! I have to cover it with press and seal plastic wrap then tape. But that is days away. Let's think about something fun.
We opened more gifts!
I have some corrections from yesterday. The basket was from Jill, Glenda, Lucie and Barbara. There was a bag in there without a card, so I am at a loss. Hopefully someone will step up and take credit!
Here you see from Glenda hand made necklaces and dog treats, mugs, togo bottle and a Dammit doll. Kent already tested it. It is great for relieving frustration. Thanks! He needed that!
From Barbara is the pull over and snacks. Not pictured are the chocolates because I could not get Kent to put them down. Thank you!
My new favorite hat to walk the dogs is an official Mallards Landing baseball cap. Kent and I both got one and match. Thank you Jill and Jim!
Ok... I had a couple of chocolates....
Linda and Bev went to Noah's Ark over the weekend. The had a fair and lots of cool animal events. Another neighbor, Julie Ann, was selling these to raise money for her missionary trip to Nigeria, so Linda picked this up for me. Thanks, Linda!
Look! Bev made bandannas that fit over collars. Annie and Dexter were gifted these, but the rest will be a fundraiser for Sheltie Rescue of GA. The reunion is this weekend on the 12th. Exciting! Thanks, Bev! Dexter has scary black cats and Annie has bats. Oh yah.. She is a little batty! Fits well!!
Of course Mom didn't hesitate when she saw this.
Mine might be just Apple juice for now, but I do have wine on hand still!
Now, if only I could stay home and enjoy my company......
